Shrewsbury – Debra L. (Kephart) Simpson, 59, of Shrewsbury and formerly of Worcester, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday December 5, 2019.
Born and raised in Worcester, Debra was the daughter of Nancy (Wright) DeFlorio and the late Kenneth K. Kephart, Sr. She was educated in Worcester as well, graduating from North High School and, later, from New England School of Accounting. Debra held several jobs throughout the years, most notably working as bookkeeper and office manager for various nursing homes. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and watching stock car racing, as well as ice racing.
On February 26, 2010, Debra married the love of her life, Michael G. Simpson.
In addition to her husband and her mother, Debra is survived by four children, Shannon-Lee Nowlan and her husband Daniel of Webster, Jodi M. Giles and her husband Brian of Whitinsville, Sean M. Simpson and his wife Heather of Shrewsbury, and Andrew P. Simpson of Milford; nine grandchildren, Samantha, Makayla, Teagan, Daniel, Jr., Samantha, Courtney, Brian, Jr., Charlie, and Anabelle; three siblings, Keith K. Kephart and his wife Joyce of Millbury, Kenneth K. Kephart, Jr. and his wife Kerri-Ann of Worcester, and Kevin K. Kephart of Spencer; along with many nieces and nephews. Debra was predeceased by her father.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Debra’s family between 4:00 and 7:00 PM on Wednesday December 11, 2019 at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA. Her prayer Service will be held the following day at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
