Hudson – On a chilly Dec. 7, several recently-opened businesses joined established mainstays to extend season’s greetings to residents and visitors with the 17th annual Hudson Downtown Holiday Stroll.
Vehicular traffic was closed on Main Street while businesses offered refreshments, discounts or activities such as cookie and ornament decorating, seasonal crafts, horse-drawn hayrides, and a live petting zoo with pony rides. Strollers also roasted marshmallows courtesy of Hudson Rotary Club.
Santa heard kids’ holiday wishes inside the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson before and after he led a tree lighting outside. Live musical entertainment featured the River’s Edge Chorale, and the a cappella groups REHarmonix, Hudson High Notes and Camerata.
The four-hour event is presented by Hudson Business Association with sponsorship from several businesses.
