Shrewsbury – Lorraine M. Liskiewicz, a resident of Shrewsbury passed away on December 4th at UMASS Hospital, University Campus with her loving family by her side. She was born to Rosario and Santa Maria Zigaro in Norwich, Connecticut. On September 15, 1951, she married the love of her life and best friend, Robert (Bob) Samuel Liskiewicz and they just celebrated 68 years of wedded bliss.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her son Robert Stephen Liskiewicz and his wife Pamela of Hudson, Ohio, a daughter Dr. Maureen Wassef and her husband Dr. Wahid Wassef of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren including Stephen Liskiewicz of Marina Del Rey, California, Stephanie Liskiewicz of West Hollywood, California, Dr. David Wassef of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Megan Wassef who is attending medical school in Alabama. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Lorraine’s life passion was her family. Through the years she held a variety of jobs including several administrative assistant positions. During retirement Bob and Lorraine enjoyed traveling which included the southwest United States, Alaska, Canada, Missouri, Ohio, Bermuda, Aruba and Turks & Caicos. Their greatest pleasure was time spent with family. Lorraine was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lorraine’s family on Friday December 13, 2019 from 9 am – 10:30 am at the Britton- Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St, Shrewsbury, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 640 Main St, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
