Francis J. KrollNorthborough – Francis J. “Frank” Kroll, 84, of Northborough, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2019, at UMass/Memorial Medical Center (University Campus) in Worcester, with family by his side. His wife of 49 years, Thelma A. (Parnell) Kroll died in 2010.

He is survived by his son, Mark Kroll of Northborough; his granddaughter, Lexi Bourn of Worcester; his grandson, Nash Bourn of Worcester; his son-in-law, Peter Bourn of Worcester; many nieces, nephews and his companion, Carolyn Minasian of Northborough. He is predeceased by his daughter, Lori Bourn, who died in 2011. Frank is also predeceased by a brother Mitchell and a sister Alice.

Born in Lowell and raised in Millville, Frank was the son of Joseph and Catherine (Chmaj) Kroll. Frank graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Milford. He continued his studies at University of Rhode Island earning his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management. Frank spent his professional 40 plus year career working at Wyman-Gordon Company in Worcester.

He was a longtime member of St. Bernadette Parish in Northborough.

Frank was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed Boston professional sports. He loved summering in Narragansett, R.I. and visits to the casinos. As a proud grandfather, “Jaja,” he loved supporting Lexi and Nash by attending their sporting events over the years. Frank lived for his family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visiting hours on Thursday, December 12 at the Chiampa Funeral Home ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Rd, Shrewsbury Center from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette Parish, 266 Main St. Northborough, will be celebrated on Friday, December 13 at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Hopkinton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frank’s memory may be made to St. Bernadette Parish.
