Therese O’LoughlinShrewsbury – Therese (Ledoux) O’Loughlin, 98, formerly of Shrewsbury died peacefully Saturday December 21, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Her husband John F. O’Loughlin died in 1996.

Therese is survived by a son Dennis F. O’Loughlin of North Grafton, her daughters, Elaine F. Vezina wife of the late Raymond Vezina of North Grafton, Deborah C. Peris of Shrewsbury, Gail Carroll and her husband Edward of North Carolina, and Patrice Hack and her husband Edward of North Grafton. Therese was the proud Memere  to 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She also leaves her dear brother Joseph A. Ledoux of Spencer, and many nephews and nieces. Therese was predeceased by 3 sisters, Rita Dziemian, Cecile Ledoux, and Gertrude O’Such.

Therese was born in Worcester daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Bolduc) Ledoux and lived in Worcester most of her life. She was a graduate of Becker Junior College. Therese was a buyer for the Denholm and McKay Department store and was also a very skilled Bridal buyer for the Marcus Ladies apparel for many years before she retired.

Therese was a life member of the Church of the Holy Family/St Joseph. She loved to read and enjoyed her trips to New York to stay on top of the latest Fashions. She and her husband liked to travel and together they went to France, Quebec, and enjoyed summers in Maine. Therese had a special personality that everyone she met loved her, she enjoyed entertaining in her home. She loved to cook and would always have a house full of family and friends. That made her very happy having her family altogether. She was always dressed to the 9s and was just as beautiful on the inside. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Therese’s funeral will be held on Saturday December 28, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of the Holy Family/ St Joseph 35 Hamilton St. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home from 8AM to9:30AM before leaving for Church. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
