Westborough – The Rotary Club of Westborough will be hosting a special program, “The Secret Lives of Teens & Tweens,” on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Westborough High School, 90 West Main St. The program is being cosponsored by the nonprofit group Westborough Connects, Westborough Youth & Family Services and the Westborough Public School Administration.

According to the website for Minding Your Mind, the organization who will present this program, “The Secret Lives of Teens & Tweens” focuses on what children in these age groups are really thinking, what they fear, why they do not share more, and how adults can effectively support the teens and tweens in their lives. This presentation covers areas such as depression and anxiety, social media and technology, suicide, ‘acting out’ behaviors, drug and alcohol use, and more.”

Presenting the program will be Minding Your Mind’s Massachusetts clinical director Jon Mattleman, a mental health counselor and trainer with 30 years of experience working with youth, parents, and families.

The event is free for parents and caregivers. On-site childcare and language translation services for attendees will be available. The program is funded by a Rotary District Grant for which the Rotary Club of Westborough applied.
