Heartbroken Shrewsbury woman seeks to find missing rings
Lehmann’s wedding band is similar to this style.

Shrewsbury – A Shrewsbury woman, Barbara Lehmann, is asking for the public’s help as she seeks to find two rings she believes were stolen from her car on Jan. 23.

Lehmann took off her wedding band and engagement ring when she went to a doctor’s appointment at 420 Boston Turnpike Rd. in Shrewsbury that day. She then went to Price Chopper in Shrewsbury before going to Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough. It was there that she believes the rings were taken from her car, which was parked in a handicapped spot in front of Bertucci’s.

“I had put them in a black box which was in another black box and put that in the front of the car near the shift,” she said. “When I was in the mall I then realized I never put my rings back on.”

The rings are important to her not only for their obvious monetary value but also for sentimental reasons, she said. At one point she had given them to her daughter and then to her granddaughter, after her daughter passed away. The set was recently returned back to Lehmann by her granddaughter.

Both rings are white gold. The engagement ring has a 1.5 carat diamond and baguettes on the remainder of it. The wedding band has baguettes all around the ring.

Lehmann has contacted local police and several pawn shops to no avail.

“I am prepared to offer a reward if the rings are returned intact,” she said. “I am just heartsick. I am hoping that somehow, someway, someone will do the right thing and return them to me.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Lehmann at  774-275-0552 or contact local police.
