Shrewsbury – “As is customary this time of year, we are proposing a schedule to highlight specific points in time where the Board of Selectmen take action relative to the Annual Town Meeting,” said Town Manager Kevin Mizikar at the board’s Jan. 28 meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 18.

Mizikar reviewed with the board the timeline of critical actions leading up to the Town Meeting:

    • The Board will review the draft Annual Town Meeting Warrant Tuesday, March 10.
    • The deadline for Citizens Petitions to be received at the Town Clerk’s office with requisite signatures is Tuesday, March 17.
    • The Board will sign the final ATM Warrant at their Board meeting on Tues. March 24, 2020,
    • On Tuesday, April 28, the board will then vote to either recommend or not to recommend each warrant article.

Mizikar noted that the Finance Committee will hold two public hearings on the articles Thursday, April 16, and Thursday, April 23.
