Lorraine VencileNorthborough – Lorraine T. (Murphy) Vencile, 85, passed away peacefully at the Coleman House on Thursday, February 13, 2020, after a period of declining health.

Lorraine was born and raised in Brighton, one of 14 children to the late James and Mary (McHugh) Murphy of Newfoundland Canada.

She was a longtime member of St. Columbkille Parish in Brighton and was a graduate of its school. Lorraine spent most of her life in Brighton, relocating to Northborough in 1997 to be closer to family.

Lorraine is survived by her loving son, John G. Vencile and his wife Carolyn of Northborough and her two grandsons, Nicholas and Joseph Vencile. She also leaves seven siblings; John Murphy and his wife Ann of Waltham,  William Murphy and his wife Mary of Tewksbury, Kathleen (Murphy) Greer and her husband James of Raynham, Joseph Murphy and his wife Fran of Roslindale, Frances (Murphy) Willaford and her husband Jeff of Onley, Virginia, Michael Murphy and his wife Christine of Wilmington and Neil Murphy and his wife Suzanne of Belmont. Lorraine was preceded in death by her brothers James, Andrew, Maurice and Robert and her sisters Mary (Murphy) Cunningham and Helen (Murphy) Cappello.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, at St. Rose of Lima Parish, 244 West Main Street, Northborough. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury, will be private.
