Westborough – Police Chief Jeffrey Lourie released this statement this morning:
On Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at approximately 12:44 a.m. the Westborough Police Department responded to 135 E. Main St. Park Village for a reported stabbing. First responding officers immediately located the alleged suspect in front of his residence. The victim was located a few feet away with a wound to his abdomen. Officers rendered first aid to the victim who was transported by Westborough Fire Department to UMASS University Campus in Worcester.
Officers at the scene were able to determine the two involved parties were brothers who were involved in a domestic dispute that quickly escalated inside their apartment. After a brief struggle both individuals went outside were they were found by Westborough Police. Officers placed the alleged suspect under arrest and charged him with the following:
- Attempted murder
- Domestic assault and battery
- Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
The incident is still under investigation. All questions should be directed to the Worcester District Attorney’s Office.
