Region – In many people’s eyes it’s been a long, protracted election cycle already. But it’s about to get kicked up a notch as Massachusetts residents prepare to cast their votes in the presidential primary election. Traditionally, the commonwealth votes on so-called “Super Tuesday”, which this year is Tuesday, March 3. But for the first time for a primary, registered voters may cast their vote early by heading to their polling place during the week of Monday, Feb. 24 through Friday, Feb. 28. (The practice was first instituted for the 2016 presidential election.)
