Northborough – On Feb. 9 the Rev. Valeria Schmidt, pastor of the Trinity Church, 23 Main St., dedicated their new certified “Safe Serve” kitchen.

For the past seven months, she, along with a team of church leaders including Larry Hemstreet, Don Dodson, Al Mosher, Tom Danforth, Nancy Robbins, Michelle Wheelock, Mary Kemp, and Martha Michalewich, have worked to plan and implement the project.

Schmidt recognized all who contributed to the kitchen at a kitchen-themed luncheon after the Sunday service where creative arrangements of kitchen utensils and other kitchen items were used as centerpieces in lieu of floral arrangements. She noted that $46,467.30 in donations was raised. She also acknowledged several local organizations for their contributions.
