Marlborough – The Marlborough High School girls’ basketball team went into the 2020 Division 2 Finals as the number one seed against number two seed Medway. But the Mustangs came out fast in the game played at Worcester State University, putting Marlborough in a deficit that they would not be able to get out of until the end of the second quarter.  Marlborough’s Leann Wydom was a large contributor in tying up the game at 24-24 going into halftime.

Both teams were in it to win it and giving it their all.  Marlborough’s Lucy Cappadona was fierce in the 3rd quarter, driving to the basket for 9 pts.  Marlborough was rebounding and playing strong defense but it was not enough, in the end, at the final buzzer the Panthers fell to Mustangs, 44 to 37.
