Marlborough extends motor vehicle excise demand fee dateMarlborough – Mayor Arthur Vigeant and Collector Eileen Bristol announced on March 20 that the City of Marlborough will delay the date in which motor vehicle excise demand fees are applied until Thursday, April 30, 2020. Motor Vehicle excise bills were due on March 20, 2020, with a $15.00 demand fee set to be applied on March 27, 2020. 

“During difficult and trying times, providing relief to the residents of Marlborough is the main objective of my office, city staff, and the city council. Extending the excise demand deadline is just one way to be of assistance while staying within the guidelines of the law.” Said Mayor Arthur G. Vigeant. 

The City of Marlborough will continue to work with our community, state, and federal partners to stay informed and will continue to update residents when new information becomes available. COVID-19 information is also available on the city’s website at https://www.marlborough-ma.gov/board-health/pages/1-corona-virus-information. We ask that you stay diligent regarding suggested preventative measures such as hand washing and social distancing. If you begin to feel symptoms such as fever over 100 degrees, cough, or shortness of breath, please contact your primary care physician.
