Paul B. WeaverShrewsbury – Paul Barry Weaver, 82, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020, at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester after a brave fight with liver and pancreatic cancer.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, to the former Doris Beede and Paul Weaver, he graduated from Memorial High School in Middleboro in 1955, and from Boston University in 1959.

After working at Transitron Electronics in Wakefield and the Vellumoid Company in Worcester, Paul served as Norton Company’s Manager of Retirement Programs for North America. In retirement, Paul did consulting work for several major banks and insurance companies, and served as a part-time videographer for the Town of Shrewsbury.

He belonged to the National Association of Railroad Passengers and other railroad advocacy groups, and led historical tours as a volunteer with the Bay State Chapter of Railroad Enthusiasts. Late in his life he served the community in an entirely different manner, becoming an emergency medical technician and teaching CPR and first aid classes for the American Red Cross and American Heart Association.

Paul leaves behind his wife of 60 years, the former Grace Sampson of Middleboro; his brother Richard Weaver of Wareham; sons Jay (Allison) Weaver of Woburn and Jonathan (Sylvia) Weaver of Dallas, Texas; daughter Lynne (Neal) Tilley of Wimborne, England; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
