Shrewsbury – Especially hard hit during the COVID-19 pandemic are society’s most vulnerable. St. Anne’s Food Pantry located at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church Parish, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, will host an Emergency Food Pantry Distribution every Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the church parking lot while supplies last.

“Due to COVID-19, St. Anne’s has reduced its food pantry operations at a time when the need for food assistance has increased significantly. The thrift store, which provides funding for the social service agency and its programs has temporarily closed, making donations from the public critical,” reported Shrewsbury Selectman Beth Casavant said. “St. Anne’s is no longer accepting donations of food but requests monetary donations or gift cards to local grocery stores in denominations of $10, $20 and $25 that can be given to those in need.”

Gift cards can be mailed directly to St. Anne’s Food Pantry at 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, Mass. 01545.

St. Anne’s Human Services Food Pantry services clients for the town of Shrewsbury.  Residents must show proof of residency and can sign up in the Human Services kitchen in the basement of the church. They are requested to bring a valid picture ID and a current utility bill, tax bill, or lease.
