Grafton – In an effort to adapt to the current social distancing restrictions, the Community Harvest Project will be holding its annual plant sale, Plantapalooza, online. The store will be opened Thursday, May 7, exclusively to Monthly Givers and then to the general public May 8.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the project’s development team has been working remotely, the farm staff has learned to adjust to social distancing guidelines while still planting the fields, and the volunteer groups have been canceled until Saturday, June 13.

This year’s selection for Plantapalooza will focus on plants including several varieties of specialty hot peppers, Victory Garden packages, and the traditional many varieties of heirloom tomatoes and other vegetables. The sale will not include perennials, annuals or succulents this year.

Pick up will be available at the Grafton farm, 37 Wheeler Road, on Friday, May 15, from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pick up times will be limited to eight people per 15 minutes and you will have to select your pick up time before checking out online.

Delivery will be available to customers in Grafton only for an additional $10. All proceeds from this event will support the Community Harvest Project’s mission of hunger relief in Massachusetts.
