Marlborough residents urged to ‘make a DIN’Marlborough – The Marlborough Rotary Club and the Marlborough Recreation Department are encouraging residents every Tuesday night, starting April 28, to step outside their homes and ring a bell or bang some pots and pans together for two minutes, starting at 7 p.m. They hope that by doing so, “the DIN tells us that we are not so alone as the community of the city of Marlborough comes together,” the two groups said in a press release.

The practice first started in Italy as residents each night opened their windows to cheer for the healthcare workers fighting on the front lines as the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged that country. Since then, other countries, as well as New York City, have done so as well.
