Southborough Annual Town Meeting rescheduled to June 13Southborough – Following Gov. Charlie Baker’s extension of the emergency declaration to May 18, Town Moderator Paul Cimino alerted residents on the town website that the Annual Town Meeting (ATM) has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 13 at 1 p.m. at the Trottier School gym.

This is the second time the ATM has had to be rescheduled as state leaders reassess policies for the safety of all residents.

In his online notification, Cimino said he wanted residents to “be assured that our Town Clerk, Director of Facilities, and IT Manager are all preparing to conduct a safe and efficient ATM at the Trottier location.  We are all mindful of the goal to maximize both participation and peace of mind for voters attending ATM.”

The ATM is not the only upcoming event to be rescheduled due to the COVID 19 pandemic.  As of April 30, the Annual Town Election has been posted to an “as yet undetermined date in June.”

All town offices remain closed however, many officials are working remotely and responding to all calls and emails.

The town Food Pantry is in need of particular items.  For more information regarding donations visit southboroughfoodpantry.org

There have been 27 COVID 19 reported cases in the town as of April 29, according to state data.
