Hudson – Avidia Bank recently announced that it would be donating additional money to a variety of organizations to assist those who are impacted by the COVID-19 virus.

The bank partnered with United Way of Tri-County to provide a $10,000 match to help support food pantries in Marlborough, Clinton and Framingham run by United Way. Through their #GivingTuesdayNow campaign, Avidia Bank and United Way publicized the match to encourage additional donations from the community.

The Bank also made donations to food pantries in Hudson, Northborough, Westborough, Ginny’s Helping Hand, Inc. in Leominster, and the Worcester County Food Bank, which totaled $23,750.

Beyond food pantries, hospitals have increasing needs for personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff as well as medical supplies patients need.  The bank provided $10,000 to the UMASS Memorial – Marlborough Hospital to help alleviate the costs for these supplies.
