Hudson – Jorge Cabral, 60, of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 9th, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jorge, son of the late Alexandrina F. Chaves and João Freitas Cabral, was born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal. He immigrated to Cambridge, MA in October 1972, and has lived in Hudson, MA since 1973. He attended Hudson High School and was employed at various companies. Eventually, Jorge found his passion in irrigation and established a successful business, Cabral Irrigation, Inc. which has been in operation for over 30 years.
Jorge leaves his beloved wife Sandra Silva Cabral, two beautiful daughters whom he adored, Lilly and Abby Cabral, and his business partner and nephew Kenny Cabral, who he loved as a son.
Jorge is survived by his 7 siblings, José Dinis Cabral and his wife Maria, Laura Moreira, Antonio Cabral and wife Fatima, Angelo Cabral and his wife Lucia, Angelina Freitas and her husband Julião, Duarte Cabral, Silvino Cabral and his wife Aura. He is also survived by his in-laws Luis and Judith Silva, brother in-law Elcid Silva, and many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Jorge was larger than life. He loved to travel, taking spontaneous trips, fishing, camping, golfing, gardening, nature, animals, foosball, hiking and chasing sunsets. But most, importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 13th, at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow at Saint Michael’s Cemetery, at 278 Cox Street, Hudson, MA. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, June 12th, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Tighe Regional Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, MA 01749. Per the CDC guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing will be followed.
