To the Editor:
My name is Karen Scopetski. I have lived in Northborough for 27 years and have known Scott Rogers and his family for over 20 years during that time. From the first time I met Scott, I knew I liked him. He is down to earth and sincere, while staying focused on the important things in life. He is dedicated to his family and to this community and is respected by all who know him.
One thing that stands out to me that evidences his exceptional character is the joy I saw on his face when he talked about his voluntary work as a mentor to high school students. He showed them the importance of volunteering and did so with enthusiasm for bettering the community.
In the last few years Scott has focused on town government. He was seeking his niche that would enable him to continue working on our town’s future to keep it as a wonderful place to raise a family and to allow the town to adapt to this ever-changing environment we live in. We do not yet know what the future holds for us post-COVID, or what the new “normal” will be, but his calm and thoughtful demeanor is just what we need to help us get through this chaotic time.
I can not think of a better, more deserving person than Scott to take a seat on our Board of Selectman. I have no doubt that he will play a crucial role in the future of Northborough. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to provide him with a glowing recommendation for the position, and hope that you, too, will choose to vote for him.
