Loreto CoppolaMarlborough – Loreto “Larry” Coppola, 81, of Marlborough and formerly of Waltham passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. He was born on December 10,1938 to the late Domenic and Angela (Mora) Coppola in Atina, Italy.

Larry was educated in London, England. After graduation, he moved to Watertown, Massachusetts in 1955. He married Mary Anne Cetrone of Newton on August 27,1961 at Our Lady’s Help Of Christian Church.

Upon entering the states, Larry quickly learned the plumbing trade where he began his career at George Robbins and Company. He owned and operated H & L. Plumbing in Waltham for many years. He went on to work for the Waltham Housing Authority and retired from Duffy Brothers in Waltham in 2013. Larry was a true “jack of all trades,” from carpentry to stone masonry, he could literally build anything. He loved candlepin bowling on Friday nights at the Riverside and Wal-lex Bowling Alleys. He also enjoyed golfing on Sunday mornings. Larry will be remembered for his wonderful smile, sense of humor, and his craftsmanship.

He was the loving husband of Mary Anne (Cetrone) Coppola for the past 59 years. He leaves a son, Lawrence Coppola and his wife Cheryl, of Framingham; a daughter, Victoria Alves and her husband David, of Holden; a sister Mafalda Iannetta and her husband Domenic, of Watertown; four grandchildren; Nicholas, Brianna, Julian and Abigail. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mario Coppola, Carmen Coppola, and Josephine (Coppola) Floridia.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 6 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will be held privately in Marlborough.
