Region – It is a mild understatement to say that 2020 has been a year like no other. The pandemic, fanned by social media and frazzled tempers, has created a toxic brew of anger, division, and downright nastiness. Add to this the nation’s social and political differences and you have a climate that is pushing people to the brink. Our society was built on individuality and the freedom of thought so it is not surprising that many are feeling suppressed and frustrated living under current restrictions. As we move towards Fall and the much-anticipated election, we should remember that we are in this together and do our best to be tolerant of one another and accept differing opinions without condemning them.
