Marlborough – Mayor Arthur Vigeant’s office and Veterans Agent Mike Hennessy have announced an upcoming Fishing Outing for Marlborough Veterans to be held on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marlborough Fish & Game Club located at 1 Muddy Lane. The rain date is Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The outing will be limited to 20 participants and include a light breakfast and lunch provided by the Marlborough Fish and Game Club. Participants can bring their own pole and bait, or the Club will provide these items. No fishing experience necessary. There will be volunteers on hand to assist.
The Fish & Game Club for over 30 years has hosted a complimentary annual fishing derby for military veterans on Armed Forces Day in May. This year’s competition was cancelled due to the pandemic.
