Alan E. SaloNorthborough – Alan E. Salo, 73, a lifelong resident of Northborough, passed away at home on Saturday, September 5, 2020, after a brief illness. He was the husband of 45 years to Gerry L. (Magay) Salo, until her passing in 2014.

Alan was born in Worcester and raised in Northborough, one of five children to the late Reino and Doris (Kennedy) Salo. He was a graduate of Algonquin Regional H.S. and for most of his working career was a driver for DeFalco Concrete Co.

Alan loved to tinker in his garage and took pride in maintaining his home and property. He looked forward to spending time with friends and looked forward to catching some NASCAR or going to the drag strip with them. He enjoyed boating, motorcycles, snowmobiles and most anything with an engine in it. Fishing and scuba diving were other hobbies Alan enjoyed as was sharing a good story or laugh.

Alan is survived by two sisters, Judith A. Morgan and her husband Lee of Charlton and Darlene R. Ramuno of Douglas, nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife Gerry, Alan was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Salo and his sister, Cheryl Durso.

A memorial service will take place at Noontime on Thursday, September 17, 2020, in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough. Current Covid-19 guidelines will be followed.
