Marlborough – Marlborough Mayor Arthur Vigeant has announced that he has promoted Patricia (Trish) Bernard to Executive Aide replacing former Aide, Nathan Boudreau.

Bernard started her employment as the Mayoral Executive Secretary beginning with the mayor’s first term in January 2012.

“Trish has spent nine years with me and has learned so much about our city which she has truly adopted as her own. I’m certain she will transfer her experience and knowledge into the new position while continuing to be an asset in my office,” said Vigeant.

Prior to her municipal employment, Bernard spent over 20 years in the private sector in senior

administrative roles. She holds an Associate of Science Degree from Aquinas Jr. College and

lives in Milford.

“It’s been gratifying to support residents in need of assistance and to be an

integral part of the myriad of programs and events offered in the city—some longstanding and

others new to his administration. I’ve learned so much while working for the city of

Marlborough and look forward to continuing to support Mayor Vigeant’s goals and initiatives,” she said.

Michele O’Brien has been hired to replace Bernard as Mayoral Executive Secretary. She brings over 10 years of high-level executive experience to the job and most recently was employed with the Tenet Physician Resources in Worcester.  She is from Paxton where she lives with her husband Jim.

“I am excited to start this new role and look forward to working for Mayor Vigeant and supporting his office,” she said.

Vigeant is currently in his first year of his fifth consecutive term as Mayor and is the longest

serving full time mayor in the city of Marlborough.
