Grafton’s 41st Annual Harvest Fair and Apple Pie Social to be held Sept. 26Grafton – The much-loved community celebration of the New England fall season will take place this year in a different format and on a smaller scale, but with the same positive spirit that defines the Congregational Church of Grafton and its annual Fair!

The Fair will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 26 with a huge yard sale from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the church parking lot (rain date Oct. 10).  There will be household items, books, toys and games for all. All COVID-19 precautions will be taken, including mandatory wearing of masks, safe social distancing, and limiting the yard sale access to 50 people at any one time.

The church’s famous homemade apple pies (regular, Dutch-crumb, and sugar-free) will also be available for online purchase. All pies will be sold unbaked and frozen for baking at home. Also available will be frozen apple crisp, frozen chili, fresh corn/sausage chowder, and Scottish shortbread. All items need to be preordered at https://uccgrafton.org/harvest-fair-2020/, and will be available for pickup at the church on each of three Sundays – Sept. 27, Oct.  4, and Oct. 11 – between 2 – 4 p.m. or by appointment. Ordering for pickup must be completed by 5 p.m. on the Thursday prior. Please remain in your car with your mask on and drive to the table to check in. One of the volunteers will bring you your order. If none of those dates fit in your schedule, please contact Sue Howell (508-596-7366, [email protected]), or Joanne Hable (508-614-5309; [email protected]) to schedule an appointment for pickup.

For over 40 years the Harvest Fair and Apple Pie Social has been a staple in Grafton. All proceeds benefit the Congregational Church of Grafton, its ministry and its mission. Visit www.uccgrafton.org for more information on the church and the Harvest Fair/Apple Pie Social.
