To the Editor:
As 25-year residents of Shrewsbury, we are fortunate to live in a community where we feel safe and know that first responders will arrive quickly in an emergency. This is why we wholeheartedly support the campaign to build a new police station and upgrade the town-wide public safety radio communication system.
This project provides a long-term solution to replace the nearly 50-year-old building that, while well maintained, has outlived its usefulness to support the changing needs of our community. Upgrading the aging critical emergency communications system will provide adequate coverage in all areas of town.
This is a fiscally responsible investment to assist officers in working more efficiently and effectively and to support safety for first responders, residents, and businesses in Shrewsbury. For more information visit www.Support4PS.com.
