Phyllis A RoyHudson – Phyllis A (Boudreau) Roy, 82, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2020 at UMass Marlborough Hospital.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Joseph Chagnon of Hudson and Julie Kerr and her husband James of Hudson; her granddaughters, Holly and Lily Kerr; her sisters, Mary  Flanagan of Tavares, Fla. and Linda MacDonald of Reading; her companion, William “Bill” Sheehan of Hudson; her life-long friend, Dixie Love of Reading; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice Roy, and her sisters, June Alukonis and Pauline Ryan.

Phyllis was born in Malden to the late Edmund and Julia (Pothier) Boudreau. She grew up in Saugus and later resided in Lynn and The Villages, Fla. She settled in Hudson to be closer to her children and granddaughters upon the passing of her husband. She worked as a chief cook at Louise Caroline nursing home in Saugus until retiring to Florida.

Phyllis loved to sing and dance, sew and cook and always loved being with her family. She learned to square dance while in Florida and enjoyed making her own square dance costumes.  You would always see her singing at the Music Jam on Fridays at the Hudson Senior Center.  Although she was blind, she still lived life to the fullest.

All are invited to attend her visiting hours on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 10am-1pm at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to: Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472 or  First United Methodist Church – specifically for the Agape Cafe, 34 Felton Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
