Northborough – Dr. Jean Casello, who holds Fellow status at the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, has been in practice for more than three decades, having spent the last 16 years focusing on medical aesthetics. When she established RenovoMD in 2007, Botox was not nearly as common or accessible as it is today. But being ahead of the curve and staying abreast of new technologies and procedures has benefitted both her practice and her patients. Additionally, each of the company’s three specialists has advanced training in their individual arenas.

Fortunately, Covid has not impacted the practice negatively, although it did close as per the state mandate. But adhering to the Massachusetts’ guidelines for safety has enabled them to safely reopen, and, said Dr. Casello, “We were so happy to see our patients once lockdown ended. We missed them.”

Although the waiting room still remains closed, Dr. Casello has continued to provide treatments and procedures at her Northborough offices. Services include vein removal, laser hair removal, microneedling, CoolSculpting fat reduction, medical grade facials and treatments, laser tattoo removal and more.

One notable change, however, is the company’s online offerings. In addition to boosting its web presence, individuals may now purchase any product sold in the office’s retail store via shop.renovomd.com. Gift cards may also be purchased on the site. Curbside pickup is available for those not comfortable going into the office. Additionally, more patient self-service tools, like online scheduling, have been made available to help promote social distancing.

Dr. Casello now offers telemedicine, which enables prospective patients to have a consultation in the “comfort and safety of their own home,” she said. New patients are encouraged to visit the office for an in-person assessment, but patients who wish to receive certain procedures may take advantage of the service.

And now that the summer is over, Dr. Casello recommends laser skin treatments to treat pigmented skin.

“We got a brand new device that treats all pigment woes and vascular lesions anywhere on the body. The efficacy is incredible,” says Dr. Casello. She added that in only one treatment, the cast majority of pigmented lesions – whether they’re sun spots or birthmarks, “it’s like a magic eraser.”

For those interested in laser treatments, RenovoMD is offering a combination of three laser treatment series between the new Excel V Laser System and the Pico laser. Each laser is effective at treating different pigment types; utilizing both lasers provides the doctor with more flexibility.
