Shrewsbury – Each year, as part of its outreach to the community, the Shrewsbury Historical Society presents two special awards.
The Shrewsbury History Award is given to a person who shows a record of outstanding leadership, service and interest in the history of the town. The Shrewsbury History Award was presented to David Prince, who redesigned the Shrewsbury Historical Society website.
The society also honors an individual or organization that completed a restoration that is an enduring example of Shrewsbury’s historic architecture. The Shrewsbury Historical Society Restoration and Preservation Award was presented to Paul and Mame Little for the recent restoration of the Philo Slocomb House on Prospect Street.
