Westborough – The Westborough High School girls’ soccer team defeated Wachusett Regional High School in double OT in a game played at Westborough Nov. 10 for the POD 8 Semi-final Playoffs.

Westborough’s Kayleigh McCabe put the Rangers on the board early in first quarter.  Wachusett was unable to put any points put until late in the fourth quarter when Jillian Stone tied it up.

The game went through two regulation over-time periods with no score and then went into PKs. After successfully blocking two kicks, Westborough’s goalie Yael Bugaev had the final kick on Wachusetts’ goalie Lindsay Isaacs to take the win for the Rangers, 2-1.
