Algonquin girls soccer wins Pod 8 Finals

NORTHBOROUGH – The Algonquin Regional girls soccer team defeated Westborough 1-0 in the Pod 8 finals playoff game, Nov. 12.

Despite getting tangled up with a defender, Caroline “CK” Kelly knocked in the game winning goal late in the fourth quarter.

Algonquin was the number 1 seed heading into the Pod 8 playoffs.  In addition to Algonquin and Westborough, Pod 8 also included Shrewsbury, Leominster and Wachusett.
