Westborough – Mahi Bijoriya, a sixth-grader at the Mill Pond School in Westborough, was this year’s winner of the Westborough Lions’ Peace Poster Contest. Sarah W. Gibbons Middle School student Alvin Bobby was chosen as first runner-up. The competition was open to all Westborough students, ages 11 through 13. The theme of this year’s contest was “Peace through Service.” The posters were judged on artistic merit, originality, and expression of the theme. This local contest is part of the larger Lions International Peace Poster contest with students participating from throughout the world. As a part of the Lions International Positive Youth Development Initiative, the competition promotes student engagement and self-development.

Mahi’s poster will now compete for the Lions District 33A prize, where it will compete against Lions Clubs throughout Worcester County.
