Shrewsbury – The second annual “Light the Common,” presented by the Shrewsbury Town Center Association, is now shining bright – ahead of schedule. The lights made their debut Dec. 2 without fanfare. Originally, the display was to be lit with a small gathering Dec. 5 but, because of a pending nor’easter, organizers decided to light them early when they were tying ribbon and tags to trees recognizing sponsors who helped fund the lights. The silver lining is that Shrewsbury now has more time to enjoy the dazzling display that the STCA hopes will spark much needed joy this holiday season.
