Marlborough Chamber of Commerce collecting teen items for Kits for KidsMarlborough – The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) is seeking teen items for the local charity Kits for Kids. The Marlborough-based non-profit, Kits for Kids, founded in 2006 by Marlborough residents Jay and Heather Johnson, originally started to help kids in foster care by creating “comfort kits” for them with everyday essentials. The first year they assembled three kits. Now entering its fourth year since earning its 501c status that allowed private donations, Kits for Kids has exploded in size and was able to assemble 4000 kits last year thanks in part to its partnership with MRCC.

The MRCC is assisting with kits for teens and is seeking donations of the following (new) items:

  • Scarves
  • Winter hats
  • Gloves
  • Playing cards
  • Small toys
  • Hygiene products (men/boys)
  • $10 gift cards to local restaurants

Items can be dropped off at the MRCC building at 11 Florence Street, Marlborough. For more information about Kits for Kids visit https://www.kitsforkids.org/ or the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BuildKitsForKids/.
