Region – The past year has been a difficult one for so many of our friends and neighbors, including area children. One bright spot amidst all these dark times is the amazing generosity of so many individuals and groups who have stepped up to offer support to those in need, with financial support, donations, and gifts.
That includes the Shrewsbury Patrol Officers Union, NEPBA Local 191, who will once again be hosting their annual Toy Drive on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Shrewsbury Police Department, 106 Maple Ave. Those toys will then be distributed through Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services.
The union is also collecting donations of gift cards, paper products, laundry care supplies, and personal hygiene items, which will be distributed through St. Anne’s Human Services.
