Hudson – The Hudson Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) is sponsoring a contest for all homeowners in Hudson and downtown businesses. For homeowners, the BID is awarding cash prizes of $250, $100 and $50 to three families who decorate their properties for the holidays. The BID has assembled a panel of volunteer judges that will individually rate the participating properties between Friday, Dec. 18 through Sunday, Dec. 20, taking into consideration design (layout, curb appeal) uniqueness (creativity, originality) and cheerfulness (captures the spirit of the holidays). They will then participate in a Zoom meeting on Dec. 21 to pick the winners.
To have your property considered for a prize, all you have to do is send an email to the BID on or before Wednesday, Dec. 16 with your name, address, telephone number and email address to email@example.com* (please, only register your own property). The winners will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 24.
All BID district businesses are automatically eligible to compete with the judges using the same criteria as above (no registration is necessary) for one $250 prize that will be awarded for the best window/storefront holiday display.
All the cash prizes were generously donated by Hudson Appliance and Murphy Insurance.
