Marlborough – Arthur Butler celebrated his 100th birthday in style today, complete with fire trucks, police cruisers, a visit from Mayor Arthur Vigeant, and a parade in his honor around the New Horizons retirement complex, where he lives.
Butler is a veteran, having been a Corporal in the United States Army. He saw action in Okinawa during World War II and earned the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and a Combat Infantry Badge.
