Irene R. Dell’OlioShrewsbury – Irene R. (Kozlowski) Dell’Olio, 84, a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury, passed away unexpectedly at home Jan. 9, 2021, joining in heaven with her husband, Louis, and daughter, Jean.

Irene was born in Worcester on Oct. 14, 1936, one of four children of the late Anthony and Michaline (Berowicz) Kozlowski. Raised and educated in Shrewsbury, Irene met her beloved husband, Louis. They married and settled in the Fairlawn neighborhood of Shrewsbury to raise their family. They lived a wonderful life together of family, neighbors, and faith for more than 38 years before Louis left her side on Sept. 9, 1994.

Irene, enjoyed being a stay-at-home Mom raising her daughters, cooking for her family, neighbors, and friends. No one who entered Irene’s home left without having a bite or taking something with them. She enjoyed many trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas with Louis and liked baking with her granddaughters, gardening, sewing, knitting and especially her excursions yard saling and flea marketing with her sister-in-law Dot. Irene also volunteered her time, at St. Anne’s church, helping where she was needed for the Human Services Association.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Diane Duhaime and her husband Roger and her granddaughters Lydia and Vivian of Hooksett N.H.; her son-in-law, Mauro DiPinto of Shrewsbury; her grandsons, Anthony and his wife Cindy of Shrewsbury and David and his wife Jena of Nashua N.H.; great-grandchildren, Deanna, Max, Anthony Jr., and Dominic; and great-great-granddaughter, Aubrey. In addition to her parents, husband Louis and daughter Jean, a sister, Julia Ciejka, and brothers, Henry and Edward Kozlowski, predeceased her.

Irene’s funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 11:30 a.m., in St. Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Tpke. COVID restrictions of masks and social distancing will apply. Burial next to her beloved husband and daughter will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Out of an abundance of caution, calling hours are private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in her name can be made to St. Anne’s Church Human Services, 130 Boston Tpke., Shrewsbury.
