Grafton – Nancy J. (Tetreault) Hazen, 72, passed away Jan. 10, 2021 following complications from cancer.
She leaves her loving husband of 52 years, Richard Hazen; her son, Daniel Hazen and daughter-in-law Christine Hazen and their children Emily and Ethan; her brother, Robert Tetrault and his wife Edna; her sister, Deborah Talbot; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy was born Feb. 8, 1948 in Northbridge, daughter of the late Lillian (Fournier) and Owen Tetrault. She grew up in Northbridge and settled in Grafton with her husband Richard, where she lived for more than 50 years.
Nancy worked for the Town of Grafton for 34 years as an Administrative Assistant to the Board of Selectmen and became a trusted colleague and someone that people in town could count on to get things done.
Away from work she prized her summers in Dennisport on Cape Cod or tending to her gardens closer to home.
Nancy knew the value of citizenry and was a founding member of The Grafton Food Bank and the Friends of Grafton Elders (FOGE).
All are welcome to gather with Nancy’s family Thursday, Jan. 14, from 5-7 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Funeral services and burial will be private.
