Virtual 5k to be held Jan. 16 through Feb. 7
Westborough – The Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Snowman Shuffle 5k Virtual Fun Run/Walk, starting tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 16.
Participants are invited to run, jog, bike, skip or walk this 5k (3.1 miles) anytime from Jan. 16 to Sunday, Feb. 7. You can even break it up into a few sessions if you prefer not to complete the 5k all at once. There will be no official tabulated results – this is just a way to have fun and get some exercise. For your safety, the Chamber recommends completing the 5k in less populated areas for social distancing such as open space parking lots, neighborhood streets, walking trails, a favorite park, or on the treadmill.
Share your commitment
To celebrate your commitment to an active and healthy lifestyle, the Chamber would like to share photos of the 5k registrants on their Facebook page. Each paid participant will earn an additional entry into the Chamber’s prize drawings by posting a photo holding a sign that reads “Chillin’ with my Snowmies” in the Corridor 9/495 Chamber Facebook event using #C9495Snowman5kShuffle. If you don’t have your own Facebook page, email your photo to [email protected] and they will post it for you.

The fee is $30 per person (includes one entry into drawing for raffle prizes and one “Chillin’ with My Snowmies” commemorative t-shirt in the size you selected with your online registration. For children, youth size t-shirts or “Chillin’ with My Snowmies” capes are available). Registrations will be accepted through Feb. 7.

Prizes and sponsors
The chamber will hold a drawing for the prizes on FaceBook Live Monday, Feb. 8, at 4 p.m. You don’t have to be present to win – the Chamber will notify the prize winners. Prizes will include gift certificates to restaurants, spa services, and entertainment.
