Westborough – For their December pack meeting, the Cub Scouts of Pack 33 built three ice ladders to be used and distributed by the Westborough Fire Department.
Firefighters distributed the ladders around Westborough’s ponds to be used in the event someone falls through the ice.
Scouts used the money they raised from popcorn sales to pay for the supplies to construct the ladders. The Scouts noted they were grateful to the First United Methodist Church for allowing them to use their parking lot so that they could continue to meet safely outdoors and had enough space to build the ladders.
