William E. HenleyMarlborough – Marlborough- William E. Henley, 73, of Marlborough, died Jan. 24, 2021 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Iona G. (Clarke) Henley.

He was born in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., the son of the late John and Zelda (Harrigan) Henley and was a graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, class of 1967. William was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

He worked for Vitelco (AT&T) in the U.S. Virgin Islands for 35 years. In his free time, he enjoyed spear fishing, reading, and spending time with his family. He was funny, mild mannered and laid back.

In addition to his wife, Iona, he leaves two daughters, Roxann U. Henley and Rochell I. Dennehy, both of Marlborough; two brothers, James Henley of Atlanta and Roy Stout of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.; a sister, Juliette George of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.; and a grandson, Tiberius Dennehy of Marlborough.

Funeral services will be private. Burial with military honors will be held Friday, Jan. 29, at 11:45 a.m., in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough.
