Hudson Avidia Bank recently announced the promotion of two employees to the position of executive vice president.  Don Frost is now EVP, Consumer Banking and will oversee Residential Lending, Retail Banking, and Investments. Nick Karmelek is now EVP, Chief Risk Officer and will oversee Enterprise Risk, BSA, IT Security, Payments Risk, Vendor Risk and Project Management.

In this new role, Frost hopes to improve overall efficiency, increase customer satisfaction by focusing on the customer experience both in person and through Avidia’s technology offerings, all while maintaining Avidia’s core community values and contributing to the strategic and measured growth of the bank.

Karmelek hopes to, in his new role, continue to support the bank’s efforts to be a forward-thinking community bank by embracing technological changes within the industry so as to position Avidia for long-term success. Part of Karmelek’s role will include continued development of innovative and diverse risk management teams that support the bank’s strategic initiatives related to payments services.
