Hudson – Young soccer players will retake the field, this spring, as the Hudson Youth Soccer Association plans a season verging on normal following the disruption of COVID-19.

In an announcement, last month, HYSA confirmed that it will participate in the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League, running travel teams for players in grades three and above. Small Fry, Advanced Small Fry and Grade 1/2 teams will play locally with weeknight practices and Saturday games each week.

A number of restrictions initially placed on play to limit the threat of coronavirus spread in the fall will be lifted.

Still, though, officials say they’re abiding by proper guidelines.

“Safety will always be our highest priority,” HYSL wrote in a Facebook post, Feb. 14. “The Hudson Youth Soccer spring 2021 program will conform to the requirements of all authorities having jurisdiction.”

Registration closes April 11. Interested parties can register by visiting HYSA.org and clicking the tab labeled “registration.”
