Marlborough – The Rotary Club will dole out hundreds of dollars in scholarships to Marlborough students graduating high school this spring.

Applications are available online and must be postmarked or delivered in person to a Marlborough Rotarian by Friday, April 23.

“Youth service is a major component of the Marlborough Rotary Club’s community service, and education is the keystone for the future of our young people” Club President Alan Herzog said in a recent press release.

Students from Marlborough High School, Assabet Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School and the Advanced Mathematics and Science Academy who live in Marlborough and who have been accepted to a two or four-year college are all eligible.

Additionally, the Rotary Club is expanding a secondary grant program for Assabet graduates headed directly into the workforce this year.

One such graduate will get $500 to use to buy the tools of their trade. That’s double the value of the $250 grant the Rotary Club offered last year.

Applications are available from students’ respective high schools, directly from the Marlborough Rotary Club, P.O. Box 186, Marlborough, MA 01752, through any Marlborough Rotarian, or through the Rotary Club website www.marlboroughrotary.org.
