Hudson – Richard “Rick” Zelano, 63, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2021.
He leaves behind his daughter, Jillian Zelano of Rhode Island; his sister, Arlene Zelano of Hudson; his niece, Suzanne Granger and her husband Richard of Hudson; his grand-nieces, Larissa Granger, Tannis Friedman, and Keygan Hogan; his grand-nephew, Jacob Granger; his best friend and step-son, Donald Beauragard and his wife Darla of Port Richey, Fla.; his grandson, Gregory; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was born Oct. 4, 1957, the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Morrocco) Zelano. He grew up in Cranston, R.I., and graduated from Cranston High School East where he enjoyed playing and watching all sports.
Rick lived in St. Petersburg, Fla. for many years before moving to Hudson in 2019. He worked in retail, most recently at Shortstop General Store in Hudson.
Rick was a kind-hearted person and everyone he met enjoyed his company. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
