Kyle M. deAlmeida, 26, of Shrewsbury and Cabot, Vt.

Kyle M. deAlmeidaShrewsbury/Cabot, Vt. – Kyle M. deAlmeida, devoted son, brother, and friend, went home to be with God on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

He leaves his loving parents, Sharon H. Connaughton of Shrewsbury and formerly of Ireland, and Peter J. deAlmeida, of Vermont; his loving girlfriend, Jackie Washburn of Newton; his sister, Ashley S. deAlmeida of Shrewsbury; his nephew, Mason deAlmeida; and Shea O’Conner, Kyle’s best friend who was like a brother to him. Kyle had so many friends, and was so loved by all his aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ireland, Australia, and the U.S.

Born and raised in Framingham, Kyle was a graduate of Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough. Most recently, he was a welder by trade, which he greatly enjoyed. Kyle had a passion for nature, hunting, and being in the mountains.

Since he was a little boy, he wanted to join the Armed Forces; his drive and passion brought him to serve with the freedom fighters. He was brave and courageous and showed no fear. Kyle was a light in the room where his antics and sense of humor caused many a belly laugh. He was so proud of his Irish heritage and dearly loved his family in Galway, where he had lived for a number of years. Kyle’s life was cut short by tragedy and our hearts will never be the same without his smile.

Lie lightly, my beautiful son, my loving brother, my funny uncle, we love you.

“Go Raibh Suamimhneas Síoraí air (Eternal Rest be upon him).”

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Kyle’s family on Thursday, April 1, from 4-6 p.m., at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury, where masks and social distancing measures will be required. Services and burial will be held at a later date.
